When the temperature is in the mid 90's and the heat index is approaching 100, what do most people think of...the beach, the lake, backyard swimming pools, you would think so !!!

But in McAdenville about a dozen men are thinking CHRISTMAS...
Christmas Town USA that is.

Starting in early August, thousands of strings of lights are checked for broken and burned out bulbs. Once this is completed, the real work begins later in the month  when the "light crew" starts stringing  more then 450,000 RED, GREEN and WHITE lights for another Christmas Season in McAdenville.

From the smallest to the largest tree, all evergreens
get special attention this time of year.  

This task will continue until the work has been completed only hours before the switch is pulled and once again McAdenville becomes
CHRISTMAS TOWN USA
